1. The Word of God
The Bible is the revealed Word of God, fully inspired, without doctrinal error, and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. We affirm the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy as a faithful articulation of this conviction.
2. The Trinity
There is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — equal in every divine perfection and executing distinct but harmonious roles in the work of creation, providence, and redemption.
3. God the Father
God the Father is an infinite personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of people, hears and answers prayer, and saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
4. God the Son
Jesus Christ is God's eternal Son. He was born of a virgin, lived a perfectly sinless life, died as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the Father's right hand, intercedes for His people, and will visibly return to judge the living and the dead.
5. God the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit was sent by the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, to regenerate sinners, and to indwell, sanctify, and empower every believer for godly living and witness.
6. Angels
Angels are created spiritual beings who minister and serve God's purposes. Satan is a fallen angel who, along with other fallen spirits, actively opposes God and His people. Though his power is real and dangerous, he is a defeated foe — overcome through the cross and resurrection of Christ.
7. Creation
God created the heavens and the earth out of nothing. Human beings — male and female — are made uniquely in God's image, possessing inherent worth and dignity from conception to natural death.
8. Humanity
Adam was created from the dust of the earth and Eve from Adam. In Adam, all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. Marriage is the covenantal union of one man and one woman. We affirm the Nashville Statement on biblical sexuality.
9. Regeneration
All people are sinners by nature and by choice, under the just judgment of God. All who repent of their sin and trust in Jesus Christ are regenerated by the Holy Spirit, forgiven, and given new life. This salvation is entirely by God's grace through faith — not by works.
10. The Church
The universal church is the body of Christ, of which He is the Head, and all who are genuinely regenerated are members. The local church is a gathered community of baptized believers, covenanted together for worship, the ministry of the Word, fellowship, and mission.
11. Christian Conduct
Christians are called to live for God's glory and the wellbeing of others. We are faithful stewards of all God has entrusted to us — time, gifts, and resources — and are called to pursue Christlike maturity in every area of life.
12. The Ordinances
We observe two ordinances instituted by Christ: Baptism — the immersion of a professing believer in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as a public declaration of union with Christ — and the Lord's Supper, a memorial and proclamation of Christ's death, observed until He returns.
13. Religious Freedom
Every person is directly accountable to God in matters of conscience and religious belief. The church is free to govern itself and may speak prophetically into public life. When the commands of God and the laws of the state conflict, we obey God rather than people. We affirm the Niagara Declaration (2020).
14. Church Cooperation
Local churches voluntarily cooperate in associations and networks to carry out the Great Commission more effectively. We are grateful partners with the Baptist General Conference of Canada, SOMA Family of Churches, and 9Marks.
15. Last Things
We believe in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ to establish His kingdom. At that time, all the dead will be bodily raised and will face the final judgment. Those who are not in Christ will experience eternal conscious suffering separated from God. Those who are in Christ will enter into the fullness of eternal joy in God's presence.
