The gospel of Jesus Christ — hope for every person.
God Is Holy and Good
Before anything else existed, there was God — perfectly holy, endlessly loving, and wholly complete in himself. He created the world and humanity as an act of overflowing goodness, making us in his own image so that we might know him, enjoy him, and reflect his glory in the world.
But something went wrong. From the very beginning, humanity turned away from God — choosing self over Creator, independence over relationship. This rebellion isn't just something our ancestors did; it's in our nature. Every one of us has sinned, fallen short of God's glory, and stands under his just judgment.
"God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
— John 3:16
Jesus Changes Everything
Here is where the story turns. God, who is rich in mercy and overflowing in love, did not leave us in our lostness. He sent his Son, Jesus Christ — fully God and fully human — into our world.
Jesus lived the life we were made to live but never could — in perfect obedience and love toward his Father. He then died on a Roman cross, taking upon himself the punishment we deserved. He bore God's just judgment in our place, so that we might be forgiven and reconciled to God.
Three days later, he rose from the dead — conquering sin, death, and the power of the grave. His resurrection is the guarantee of everything he promised: forgiveness, new life, and a future full of hope.
The InvitationRespond to the Good News
Jesus now offers forgiveness and new life to all who will come to him. This is not something we earn or achieve — it is a gift freely given to all who turn from their own way and trust in him.
The call of the gospel is simple and urgent: Repent — turn away from sin and self-rule. Believe — place your whole trust in Jesus Christ and what he has done. Follow — live under his lordship as part of his family, the church.
